— When I witness how President of Russia meets with our sportsmen, awards them, I think that Voronezh plant TMP achieved a lot of word records by manufacturing 14000 tf press. We should pay attention to TMP as here in real sector of economy is created a foundation for achievement in other realms. — says Mr. Samodurov.

Work of plant was also highly valued by Aleksei Gordeev, governor of Voronezh region:

— This event is important not only for plant TMP but also for the whole Voronezh region and even for the whole country. Our plant for building heavy mechanical presses supplies more than a half of world market with powerful machines. It is the unique manufacture. There a re only three-four plants of this type in the world. — says Aleksei Gordeev. — Now the plant becomes the world leader. Therefore Voronezh government should help TMP to find solution to several important current problems. We have a program of cooperation for the future.

Fourteen thousand tons — it is the capacity of new press. The design and manufacture of this machine took two years. The press has the height about 15 meters and weighs almost 1500 tons. Manufacture demanded modernization and almost 100 million rubles.

Increasing of press power means notable cost saving for parts production, metal economy and forging precision improving. Speed of treatment grows up in twenty times!

It should be noted that the press is the main part of automatic line for hot forging of crankshafts and front axle beams for tracks weighting up to 210 kg. The line will be assembled in special forging shop. The line includes trimming press capacity 2100 tf for sizing and trimming. This new project will be started in the nearest future.

The 14000 tf press was produced in tight schedule. The contract was signed in January 2009. Production process took only 19 months. It is a record for equipment of such type.

Now specialists of TMP work on the second press of this model and work out the new more powerful press 16000 capacity.
